"Someday all watches will be made this way." This is the slogan that launched Seiko (a company that began in 1881 as Seikosha) into the spotlight in 1969, with the creation of the first quartz watch. Other fists for this company, which has served as the official timer of the Olympic Games, include the first LCD screen watch and the first digital multi-function watch - as well as the world's first television watch.
